Successful people leave clues. And most have them have a morning ritual. And the importance of doing the essentials daily cannot be emphasized enough!
This is a short article on 8 must do habits before we start the day. It is almost like tool kit or weapons to help us get through the day or life!
· Intention: As soon as you get up set up an intention or a prayer. It could be a word such as peaceful, progressive or creative, or a couple of words such as ‘Would not procrastinate the important things’, ‘learn a new instrument’ or ‘teach for charity’.
· Exercise: This could be as small as 15 min walk to an intense crossfit or fun zumba lesson. But this just gets the good hormones pumping in your body.
· Read: Again it could be one inspiring quote or a few pages in an interesting book or some latest news online, but reading is important.
I like to follow a theme, for a week I would read on wellness and next on technology and I always have one thing constant for it’s philosophy. But you choose what you love reading the most even if it is for 5 mins.
· Spend some time with your loved ones, even pets included! They just give you that warm fuzzy feeling you definitely need to get you by through the day. Facetime with your mom or your best friend who is miles apart, you know it’s been long!
· Breakfast : Have something yummy and healthy to look forward to. And yes prepare the previous day by stocking your fridge or groceries.
· Warm drink: For me this works wonders whether its masala tea or hot chocolate. This just uplifts my mood. Find your poison.
· Meditate: Sit in at least 2-5 mins just in silence. No need to achieve anything, no need to plan anything. Just me time. Sincerely with silence. This is a life changer!
· Blueprint your day: Make a skeleton of your day. Of course you will uncertainties and surprises in your day. But if you have mental map, you definitely one level up.
What is your golden weapon that you could share with others. A must do habit that could gradually change their life? Write to me or leave a comment! I love hearing from you guys, whether a feedback or a tip.
P.S : If you actually get into the routine you will realise most of these take less than 5 mins each, so all you need is little more than half an hour. And 8am need not literally mean 8am, it means before you rush into your daily work routine. (Some it could be 9am or 10:30am)
